Jason and Kylie, Naked in School Chapter 20

When they finally made it to the garage, Jason understood John's admonition to 'drive safe'. It only took one look at Mandy's car.

Her car was like her closet. Sleek. Gorgeous. Fast-looking. And filled with leather.

Even being careful, Jason spun the tires three times before he got used to the powerful engine, and by the time they made it to the doctor's office, he'd decided that the fantasy of owning a sports-car was going to remain just that for him— a fantasy. He'd caught himself speeding several times, even though he was actively trying to stay under the speed limit. He figured that either he'd have a heart attack out of frustration, or end up getting a ticket that he'd spend years trying to pay off if he actually owned a car like that. Or killing himself when it got away from him. He wouldn't rule that out. It was a damned good thing it wasn't raining.

Kylie grew quieter the closer they got to the office. He wasn't sure at first whether that was because of his driving— he wouldn't have blamed her a bit if it was— or if she was nervous about the appointment. When she didn't seem relieved when he pulled into the parking space and killed the engine, he figured it was the second.

She reluctantly walked up to the window once they'd entered the office, but when the receptionist looked up at them and smiled, Kylie paled, grabbing Jason's hand.

"Hi," the young woman said perkily. "Do you have an appointment, or are you here for a contraceptive shot?" Her eyes flickered to Jason. "Or a pregnancy test?"

Kylie paled further. "I... I don't... I mean, I have an appointment, please?" she managed.

"Okay, let me look. What's your name, hon?"

"Kylie, Kylie R...." She hesitated.

"Rourke," Jason finished for her. At Kylie's uncertain glance, he squeezed her hand.

"Yep, here you are, hon," the receptionist said. "Kylie Rourke, 10am. Note here to contact the head nurse when you get in. Have a seat, and we'll call you soon."

Kylie sat on the edge of her seat, fidgeting, her hand squeezing Jason's tightly enough to cut off the blood flow, although he wasn't going to say anything to her about it. She jumped when the door opened and her name was called.

"Come on, love," Jason said, smiling at her and ignoring the curious look the aide gave them.

"Right in here, and we'll just get your height and weight, okay?"

Kylie nodded and reluctantly let go of Jason's hand long enough to step on the scale. He noticed both the reading— eighty-four pounds— and the aide's quick frown. The woman restored her professional demeanor almost instantly, though, and jotted down the reading before leading them into a little room to get her blood pressure and a blood sample.

"There we go, all done," the aide said. "Okay, I need to get a urine sample from you while I run this to the lab. The bathroom's right through there." She indicated an adjoining door. "The cups are in there. Just leave it sitting in the collection box, okay?"

Kylie came out of the bathroom a few minutes later, her face bright red, and sat down next to Jason. "Why?" she asked. "You'd think I had some kind of old disease or something."

After a few more minutes, the nurse returned and led them into an exam room. "Okay, hon. I need you to take off your clothes and put on this gown. Dr. Johnson will be in real soon."

Kylie frowned, but didn't say anything until after the nurse left. "Do I have to?" she asked Jason, plaintively.

Jason grimaced, but nodded. "Yeah. I think it's a requirement that they make you put those on," he said. "You know, for maximum annoyance. But hey, it's no worse than the Program, right?"

Kylie didn't answer him, and he realized she was shaking in fear. He couldn't figure out what could be bothering her until he looked around and realized that the room was disturbingly similar to Jeb's 'special' room— he'd had a table similar to the exam table. He'd had a flexible light with a magnifying lens. He'd had a rolling tray of instruments, even if they weren't the same as the ones in the exam room.

"It's okay," he said, pulling her onto his lap. "You're okay. This isn't that room. I'm here. You're safe."

Kylie buried her face in his shirt. "I... it's just... he would measure me, and take notes...."

"Okay, love. It's okay. I'm here. You don't have to take your clothes off until the doctor gets here, okay? I'll hold your hand when she does."

Kylie nodded shakily, then looked away. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be," Jason said. "It's okay."

The doctor took longer than Jason had expected; it was at least ten minutes before the door opened again, and the extra time didn't do anything to help Kylie's nerves. Jason held her close, stroking her hair, but she still became more nervous as they waited.

A pleasant looking, middle-aged woman with greying blonde hair appeared in the doorway. She took in the tableau with a glance, and hesitated for only a second before stepping inside and closing the door behind her. "Hi. I'm Dr. Johnson. Your father talked to me earlier, Kylie," she said, in a low, slightly rough voice. She smiled at Jason. "You're Jason, I assume?"

He nodded. "Yes. How much did he tell you?"

"Quite a bit," she said, guardedly. "I'm going to do everything I can to make you comfortable, Kylie, but I agree with your father that you do need to be examined. We're not in a hurry, and can wait a bit until you're more relaxed, though, if you're willing to just chat with me for a while first, okay?"

Kylie swallowed, nodding, but made no effort to move from Jason's lap.

"If there's another room you could use, it would probably help," he said. "This room looks a lot like, well, the room he used."

Dr. Johnson blanched. "I apologize," she said, sincerely. "I didn't realize that. It's not standard, but we can go into my office today, instead."

Kylie nodded, relaxing into Jason's arms, and he stood, lifting her. "Where to?"

"This way," the doctor said, leading them out the door and down the hall into a nice, comfortable office. "Better?" she asked, once they were inside.

Kylie nodded as Jason sat down, still holding her in his arms. "Thank you," she said, almost too quietly to hear.

"Good," Dr. Johnson said, smiling. "Now, I need to ask you some questions, honey, that are pretty personal. Jason can stay as long as you want him to, but you might feel more comfortable if he waited outside. It's your choice, though, and either way you can change your mind any time. Just let me know."

Kylie blushed, but clutched at Jason's arms, pulling them tighter around her waist. "I want him with me, please," she whispered.

"That's fine, dear," the doctor said soothingly, nodding. "Your choice, remember. I just wanted to make sure you knew you had one."

Kylie nodded shakily.

"Okay. To get started, when was the last time you ate?"

"This morning," Kylie said. "Jason made me breakfast."

The doctor nodded, jotting down a note. "And what did you eat?"

"Um. Eggs. Toast. Bacon."

"Uh-huh. Okay, how much? How many eggs, say? How many pieces of bacon?"

Kylie hesitated. "I don't know," she said, defensively. "Some."

Jason looked down at Kylie, then back at the doctor. "A couple of bites of egg, one bite of bacon, and maybe half a slice of toast," he said, quietly.

The doctor frowned, folding her hands on the desk. "Kylie, your test results are indicative of a person on a starvation diet. Your blood sugar is practically non-existent, and you show signs of protein starvation. This is not good."

Jason winced, but the doctor wasn't through.

"When was your last menstrual cycle, Kylie?"

"Um." Kylie looked at her hands, but didn't answer.

"I... um... haven't... ever... had one," she managed, squirming in embarrassment.

Dr. Johnson frowned again. "You're sixteen. It's just barely possible that you would have started late anyway, but more likely your malnutrition has caused significant delay in your development. This can be corrected, but it needs to be taken care of now. No more one hundred calorie breakfasts, Kylie. I'm prescribing a protein supplement. In addition to that, I want you to try to take in at least twelve hundred calories a day. You need to gain about twenty pounds, Kylie. Not all at once, but I find it impossible to think that you haven't been losing weight recently, and that has to stop."

"Y-yes, ma'am," Kylie said, cringing.

"Honey," the doctor said, her voice softening, "If you starve yourself to death... he wins."

Jason brushed Kylie's cheek with the backs of his fingers. "It's safe for you to eat now. You need to eat now."

"I'll— I'll try," Kylie said, nodding shakily.

"What about exercise?" Jason asked, looking back to the doctor.

"From what I can see, her muscle tone is good— amazing, really, for this level of malnutrition— but light exercise to boost strength and metabolism is always good. I wouldn't want to see her try anything extreme, like rock-climbing or something, right now, because frankly I think it'd cause her system to collapse."

Jason nodded. "I'm thinking something like aikido. Maybe some weight lifting once she's healthier. Would that be okay?"

"Aikido, a beginner class, would be okay if the instructor knew about her current state. I do not want her pushing herself. There's not anything there for her body to use as energy." Dr. Johnson looked at Kylie. "If you're tired, rest. And eat. Frequently. Six small meals a day might be easier on you than three big ones until your body adjusts to a normal intake. Weight lifting... not right now. Eventually, yes, but I want to see you and approve it first."

"Is there anything else we should do?" Jason asked.

"Well, I need to check her over now. Kylie, you don't have to undress, but I do need to listen to your heart and lungs, and palpitate your stomach," the doctor said. "That will be enough for this visit, but I'll want to see you again in two weeks and run some stress tests and do a GYN exam. I'm sorry, honey, but it's necessary. We need to make sure there's not something else stopping you from developing correctly."

Kylie shuddered. "What do you need me to do?" she asked, hoarsely.

"Just sit up straight for me, and I'll come around to you."

The doctor listened to her heart and lungs, dug her fingers as gently as she could into Kylie's stomach, and looked into her eyes, ears, and throat, before sitting back down. "Okay," she said. "Everything else looks healthy. All we have to worry about right now is getting your weight up, and building strength. One more question, then you can go."

"What?" Kylie asked, looking at the doctor nervously.

It was the doctor's turn to look uncomfortable. "Kylie," she said, softly, "I'm sorry, but I do need to ask. Do you intend to be sexually active? Just because your body isn't fully developed does not mean you can't become pregnant. If you think you might want to, then you should get a contraceptive shot today."

Kylie paled, gripping the arms of the chair tightly. "I... I... Jason?" She turned, burrowing into his arms and hiding her face against his chest.

"Kylie, I told you," he said, softly. "That's up to you. When you're ready, not before."

"What if I'm never ready?" she whispered.

"Kylie... I promised, remember? I'm not going to push you into anything. But I don't think you need to worry about that. If you'll think about what we've done so far, and how it's made you feel...."

Kylie shivered, huddling against him for a moment, then nodded. "I... I'll get it."

"Kylie... you don't have to," Jason said.

"I know," she whispered. "And if I get it... I still don't have to. But I can. If... if I can."

"That's up to you," he said, nodding.

"I know." She hugged him tightly. "Thank you. It... didn't have to be. I wouldn't have told you 'no'."

"That's why it had to be," Jason said.

Kylie kissed the side of his neck, then turned and nodded to the doctor. "I... I'll get the shot. I'd... I'd rather have it when I don't need it, than not have it when... if I did."

Doctor Johnson smiled. "Good. I'll go get it, and your prescription, and you can go on home."

She returned a few minutes later with a small syringe and two prescriptions, one for a strong, sub-lingual multivitamin and the other for the protein supplement. After she administered the shot, she handed Kylie the prescriptions. "Now, any questions?" She hesitated almost imperceptibly. "Either of you?"

Jason glanced at Kylie, then looked at the doctor a little sheepishly. "Um. She's still a virgin, we haven't had sex yet, but we've done some other stuff. Is that safe? Or should we hold off until she's healthier?"

The doctor smiled. "I don't think that heavy petting— or even sex, should she so choose— is in the same category, physically, as rock-climbing or marathon running. However... the same exercise restrictions still apply. Take it easy, rest if you're tired... or, rather, you watch to make sure she doesn't get too tired without noticing it. If anything, orgasms will help stimulate her body into developing fully."

"Gotcha," Jason said, grinning at Kylie. "I'll provide all the orgasms you want."

Kylie didn't stop blushing until they were out of the office and back in the car, where she let out a sigh of relief.

"So, back home now?" Jason asked.

Kylie nodded shyly. "Home... this is so weird."

"I know." Jason reached over and squeezed her leg. "But it's real. What do you want to do for the rest of the day?"

"I... don't know," Kylie said, sounding bewildered, and a bit overwhelmed. "I've never had a day to just... do whatever I wanted."

"Well, now you do," Jason said, with a grin. "What sounds like fun?"

Kylie hesitated. "I just... I just want to be with you. What do you want to do?"

"Well, being with you sounds like a good start. I've got to go to the dojo for class tonight, but until then... we could snuggle and watch TV?"

She smiled shyly. "That sounds neat. Sinfully lazy, but neat."

"Then it's settled," Jason said with a nod. "One day of lazing around watching television."
